Matthias Blondia

Matthias Blondia, Dr. Civil Eng/Arch, has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture from UGent and a postgraduate degree in Urbanism and Spatial Planning from UGent. In 2014 he obtained a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Architecture at KULeuven, for his research on the spatial development potential of regional public transport. Previous professional experiences include architectural design at HUB, studio teaching at KULeuven and project supervision for large scale infrastructures for the team of former Flemish State Architect (Vlaams Bouwmeester) Marcel Smets. He joined ORG in October 2014 and combines this with a post-doctoral position at the CIB in Leuven. He is registered as a spatial planner in Flanders.
