Hendrik Bloem, M. Arch/ Urban Design, is an Associated Director in Urbanism and Architecture at ORG. He joined the firm in 2016. Since his arrival, he has managed complex urban design and landscape projects such as the Plan for the Waterfront of the Dender in Aalst; and the plan for the capping of the Ring around Antwerp in a section near the Lobroek Dock. Before joining ORG, Hendrik worked on several relief and development projects in Malawi, Peru and Tanzania for ASF-be and UNHABITAT, and gained professional experience at Nero Architects in Ghent, and the Rotterdam based offices Studio Marco Vermeulen en BARCODE Architects. He has post-graduate degree in Sustainable Development from the VUB (Brussels); an Urban Planning degree from the Rotterdam Academy (NL); and a master’s degree in Architecture from the St. Lucas Academy in Ghent.
