Matthias Blondia, PhD Civil Eng/Arch, Project Manager (B), is an Associate Director in Urbanism with ORG Urbanism since October 2014. He holds a post-doctoral position at the CIB (Leuven), and is regularly invited to teach studio’s, workshops and attend juries at universities in Belgium. Matthias obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Architecture at the University of Leuven in 2014, on the relation between multi-modal transportation networks and urban development an landscape. At ORG, Matthias has been closely involved as project manager with projects over the Ring in Antwerp, as well as with ongoing studies in Ghent. Matthias has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture, as well as a postgraduate degree in Urbanism and Spatial Planning, both from the University of Gent. Previous professional experiences include architectural design at HUB, and project guidance for large infrastructure for the Flemish State Architect. He is registered as a spatial planner in Flanders.
