Infrastructure Objects for New Jersey, USA

This is an academic design for the infrastructural system in New Jersey, near New York City, in order to provide a civic, regional order, while simultaneously increasing mobility options for these impoverished suburbs. The project, completedin 2006 presaged an economic crisis that would occur in 2008, the banking and mortgage market collapse. This proposal employs infrastructural projects that are architectural by nature, to integrate different traffic modalities and ambitions about collective space into a civic arena. Through these projects the suburban sprawl is not only re-wired, but the transportation system as a whole, is focused upon as a cultural artifact.
